Wow... Doughty made it! Only surprise on defence.

I would have taken Green over Webber...

December 30, 2009 at 12:24 PM | Registered CommenterShredder

I'm just glad Green didn't make it. Same with Phaneuf. Those guys just don't have it in their own end.

Glad you're updating us Gert... I'm watching it right now but need to leave soon.

They really drag this thing out. Get to it already!!!!

December 30, 2009 at 12:26 PM | Registered Commenterthegertkenator

Yeah but you need guys that can score too... I don't know much about Webber's stats this year but Green is leading the NHL in points by D. At least I think so... haven't checked but that's what I heard.

I know, at this rate we'll find out if Fisher made the team around supper time!

December 30, 2009 at 12:28 PM | Registered CommenterShredder

I'm a little surprised about Seabrook. I thought Bouwmeester would have been in there for sure. But im fine with the defence, there are no liabilities on there and a balance of point producers and shut down.

I will be surprised if Fish makes it. There are just way too many great players. Here we go!

December 30, 2009 at 12:32 PM | Registered Commenterthegertkenator

Bergeron Crosby Marleau
Richards Heatley Thornton
Iginla Nash Getzlaf
Perry Morrow Staal

December 30, 2009 at 12:41 PM | Registered Commenterthegertkenator

I would have slotted Fisher ahead of Morrow. Little surprised at that.

butt scratcher...:(

I'm still not sold on Marleau. He has a tendency to dissapear in big games.

December 30, 2009 at 12:48 PM | Registered Commenterthegertkenator

Marleau is only there because of Thornton and Heatley... they want to keep that good chemistry they have going.

December 30, 2009 at 12:49 PM | Registered CommenterShredder

A lot of the forwards have really surprised me. Bergeron has 29 points, Morrow only 25. I guess it's all about pk and faceoffs and stuff.

I get the feeling it wasn't about what they've done this season, but what they've done in seasons past.

Marleau has a bunch GW goals in the playoffs over the last few years his team has sucked after the first round but he's come
up big of late he's not a one man team in the playoffs, I've watched every painful playoff loss of these chokers but he's not the
reason for the choking dog syndrome of this kennel.
He's played better than Thornton and Heatley this year he plays on all special teams those 2 don't.

The defense worries me. Niedermayer is just not the players he used to be. Pronger over rated. Couple of the others guys I don't know much about.
