I know you said you're not picking on him this year, but someone has to do something about spezza. IMO, he had his worst game of the season last night. Every caveat, faceoffs, puck pursuit, forecheck, nancy passing, effort level, there was just nothing outta this guy. That was an important statement game for the sens, and he pissed his bed.

15 points in 23 games, on pace for 53 point season.

$7m cap hit, $8m cash for this season.

$153 000/point......those are expensive points boys!!!!!!!!

i agree, i think the sharks game was his worst. i said i wouldn't pick on him but that was based on how he used to play. i was ok with his odd mistake in exchange for his offense. but he's just not bringing anything right now. as it stands, he looks like he can only play with heatley because he is not making anyone else around him better and he looks lost. maybe it's his back, i don't know.

it's something........

Russell - I thought it was his back that made him play so bad when he was down here for the Bingo playoffs 5 years ago. He is one of the most infuriating players in the league. There is no questioning his skill, but he'll only put up points if he has an all-star quality finisher. We can't move him so we can only hope to cure him. I think electroshock therapy is the answer.
