As much as I was pissed off at this whole mess, I was still reserving a little bit of judgment until I head Heatley speak. You always need to hear both sides of the story... well heard his side and well...he can go to hell.

So one thing about Heatley's story is bothering me. Didn't Chara site the same type of concern as one of his personal reasons to move on? I thought he said that he wanted to go somewhere else where he would have a bigger leadership role on the team. Then we hear somebody else say that they want a bigger role but it is clear that the old school run the room. Can somebody confirm or deny this...or maybe I am just going crazy with all the soap opera crap that goes on around this team.
With Heatley maybe it is a case of somebody wanting something they have not earned?
Why did nobody ask Heatley why he thought other teams were interested?
In anycase...it sounds like the Heat is gone...eventually.

It had to be embarrassing to keep saying the same thing over and over. I want options and Edmonton isn't one of them.
Brennan was damn funny and Heatley really comes off as a baby it was tough listening to.
He only did this dog and pony show because the guys who run Team Canada told him to and he never really said anything.
Lastly someone in Murray's office leaks private info all the time it's pretty clear now. Doug Wilson was pissed that his players
names were leaked. Tammbellini in Edmonton was totally not happy with the leak also.

Does the reporter REALLY think that it was a bunch of transplated Ottawans or people that have journeyed over from Edmonton that were booing Heatley?
A quick wander around around any of the hockey fora across the web and you'll see fans from all teams ragging on Heatley and the way his trade request has been handled by his representative team and for his actions so far includeding his wonderful self contradicting press conference at the Team Canada camp.
To think that only fans of the Senators and Oilers think Heatley is a front bottom for what he's done is just plain delusional.

Heatley is apparently doing a conference call and follow up press conference in Kelowna tomorrow according to Dreger. I'll be in Kelowna, so does anyone know how to breach security at these things?
