Bobby. Friggin. Ryan.
Everybody lit mup!
LOL!! Smith takes a stupid cheesy penalty but the Sens always shoot themselves in the foot
clear it already
that was amazing
the guys on that PK had to be dying
does Bergeron ever lose a draw?
Iginla just missed
crazy finish, thought for sure that would have been a costly penalty
you do have to admit that with Boston twice and Pittsburgh the next 3 games that if Ottawa got 2 wins in regulation that would be really good.
Well of course they did.
I enjoyed watching Z-Bad get some on-the-job training as the center on our second line.
Now what do we do with Spezza...He's not right at all.
Jason is 30 years old, with a chronic back problem. He's not going to get any better than he is now, talent-wise. He may get worse, health-wise. He's peaked and now his body is fighting him.
Did anyone notice that Connacher looked a lot better with Z-Bad as his center? He seemed to be energized.
I also love the way Z-Bad can throw and if needed take a check.
Player 89 has looked better the last few games.
Interesting and confusing thing happening with Stache and ice time. Ryan was 4th yesterday in TOI for forwards. About right, considering he doesn't kill penalties. EK65 was rightfully benched for a short period of time after that abysmal attempt on the first B's goal. We've also seen the top PP guys sit in favour of the muckers, at times.
As Sens fans, we've always wanted accountability, even for the stars. So, sometimes Stache is benching the stars. I just can't figure out why at times. Really not sure what Ryan did when his ice time was cut so dramatically.
I believe Stache explained the ice time numbers in the paper...
He said that sometimes Ryan's line was taking 1min shifts when they should be taking 35-40 second shifts. So, they are too tired to take a turn and they miss a change next time around (in other words, Stache is not happy and benches them for a shift). Other games, the team takes a lot of penalties and guys like Ryan are not killing them. Thus, lower ice.
SensDawg thanks for that info:
the guys on twitter who follow this team closely don't seem to believe that explanation at least according to how pissed they are that Ryan gets benched.
Ya, call me crazy TJ but I like a coach who holds all players accountable, even the stars.
