Scratches: Gryba, Hoffman
Goal: Lehner

In short, other than a change in the blue paint, it's the same lineup as last night in Philadelphia.

So Mr. 2:20 of ice time stays in. Le sigh again.

Hoffman scratched for the 2nd straight game while Mr had-but-one-shift-in-3rd-and-OT plays. That'd be Conacher, not Kassian.

just stupid that they called up hoffman and he doesn't play. plus its a waste of eugene's limited money.

9MM!!!!!!! Quick, we need a shoot out! he's coming in hot!!!!

December 10, 2013 at 7:17 PM | Registered CommenterResigned Russell

why are our pictures still on the side of this site? we do almost as little now as we did when prepping for a show, way back when.

December 10, 2013 at 7:20 PM | Registered CommenterResigned Russell

Conacher assist / 9MM goal / Senators lead the game in the 1st period

That's like getting three of a kind on a slot machine.

Followed the same pre-game steps tonight. Looks like they work so far. Having to work around the HDCP crap on the AppleTV may be tough to reproduce though.

"Having to work around the HDCP crap on the AppleTV may be tough to reproduce though."

what's your solution for that?

December 10, 2013 at 8:17 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Unplug everything for at least 30 secs. After a while it resets and remembers that it IS HDCP capable.

Here we go.....delayed penalty, Lehner mishandles the puck, knocks it in our net but ruled no goal as whistle has been blown. Go upstairs and review stands as no-goal.

Very strange, but we'll take it. Sabres have been coming on strong.

December 10, 2013 at 8:36 PM | Registered CommenterKardinal

No goal? did that just happen?

December 10, 2013 at 8:36 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Yup. Whoda thunk it?

December 10, 2013 at 8:41 PM | Registered CommenterKardinal

According to the radio:

Whistle was blown due to delayed penalty and Ottawa player (Lehner) seemingly having control of the puck. Not a reviewable play.

(explanation put out by NHL between periods of the game)

NHL explanation of the no-goal call:

OTT @ BUF - 15:30 of the Second Period

"Yup. Whoda thunk it?"

What's next? A leaf and a penguin get suspended in the same week?
