We're all volunteers paying out of our pocket. We operate on a loss. If you'd like to help, it will be put to use running the podcast and we'll give you huge kudos on the show!
Both teams are on a back-to-back: Wild were in Montreal last night, Sens flew home from Philadelphia.
Both teams had an ugly loss last night: Wild lost 7-0 and...well, see Game 21 thread (nuff said).
Both Heatley and Cooke are in town with the Wild.
Backstrom is still hurt, and Josh Harding was pulled in last night's game, so he could start or it could be 3rd stringer Darcy Kuemper.
Wild lost 6-2. It was Columbus that lost 7-0...to EDMONTON. Ugh.
i keep hearing about how inconsistent the Sens are this year. they really aren't. With the exception of the Detroit and Boston games, they've been pretty consistently bad. Yes, they have won some other games in there but they did not look particularly good doing it. i'm afraid this is what they are, its just that this year, they goalies aren't bailing them out and there's no Alfie to settle things down. Its a young team trying to figure things out with some of their veterans leaders trying to do too much.
Any team losing their captain is rough, losing a leader like Alfie has been a huge.
I felt bad for Turris last night, you could tell how hard he was trying. (Same w/Ryan) Even Michalek had his moments. Tonight should be interesting though as both teams are coming off pretty bad losses back to back.
Also Heatley.... -_-
If anything, this year will be a good learning experience for all those guys... The turnover has been bigger than even the previous year in terms of key players. Spezza's not really been a captain to lead and for everyone to follow. They are all trying but seem to be pulling the cart in different directions. Some of it has to fall on the coaching staff. Give Spezza good wingers, reign in Karlsson, and stick with some defensive pairings!
great points by all u guys, they are missing Alfredsson way more than I thought they would. Russell u said he settled things down and especially on the ice in their own zone so many times.I didn't even know they were playing tonite since they have disappointed so bad I don't even feel like watching anymore.
Did any of u hear the Pierre McGuire show this morning and the caller "Al"?
He made one good point about all this damn depth the Sens have--he called it, it's all 3 and 4th liners and 5th and 6th Defensemen.
how did this team beat Detroit in Detroit 6-1?
I said it yesterday and after that MacArthur pass I'll say it again, SIGN MORE EX-LEAFS!!!!!!!
MacArthur finally has that Leafs stink washed off of him!
the PK sucks just like everything else except for the Ex-Leafer
I love Z-Bad.
me too Chuck, he never gave up on that play even laying on the ice
Biron is good on that panel
Heatley with an assist, I hate Hockey sometimes
now he scores a goal on a HORRIBLE defensive play by Karlsson, this team sucks. Neil getting it on with a stoner
Karlsson and Anderson both were pitiful on that goal
this season is sinking fast, and no first pick to ease some of the pain
that won't count, but they are still on the PP
No way that should count.
And it doesn't.
so, what's happening?
Sens keep lending us shovels to get even deeper.
EVERYTHING!!! and NOTHING!!!
ZBad scores and then he's virtually benched, Karlsson plays like sh*t on defense and keeps getting all the ice time he wants.
I can't wait for the Podcast to hear the game reviews
Neil's hands aren't the best
