A day after some frank works from EK65, the captain and the coach, the Sens are in the windy city to play the reigning Cup champions. The lines / d-pairs at the morning skate:

65-3, 4-46, 77-2

Game time is 2000h EDT. Bitching about the team on Twitter will start approximately 15 seconds after the opening faceoff.

I read the EK65 article. I'm just happy that if they think things are going badly now, that we have an entire season to pick it up. Oh yeah, and we're neither Edmonton nor Buffalo. That makes me feel good too.

Breaking News!!! Vanek was offered to the Toronto Maple Leafs first but they of course rejected it, you know since every player on every team wants to play for the Leafs.

I guess they just couldn't stand the spotlight being on some other teams and not them.

other than that last shot, have you ever seen a team more determined to NOT shoot the puck than these guys? leave no drop pass behind!!

October 29, 2013 at 8:50 PM | Registered CommenterResigned Russell

Just got home from school and missed the 1st. Watching on First Row so I'm getting the US feed. US commentator guys in the intermission were saying how Chicago couldn't be giving up 15 shots to Ottawa. Couldn't believe my ears! 1-1 after 1, not bad.

Cowen is making a ridiculous amount of bad decisions. he just left the front of the net completely unguarded.
