I can't wait for this game to be over to see what MSM is going to concentrate on when there's no player 11 angle to work with.

JGP probably out (nursing injury), Z-bad called up, Kassian probably a scratch, and I expect to see Smith back at centre.

I can think of no other team that's allowed former players to light them up the way the Sens have. It seems every time we face a former player, they end up kicking us in the teeth. How will everyone around here feel if Alfie becomes an instant thorn in our side by popping a few past Anderson tonight?

It would be worse if Karlsson turns it over, and he scores on a breakaway....As to how i'd feel well, i'm pretty sure i'll be miserable all night. Unless the Sens manage to win.

Wiercioch out, Corvo in.

"It would be worse if Karlsson turns it over, and he scores on a breakaway" LOL - I can see it going down this way - Karlsson bobbles an erant/blind, behind the back from Spezza and Alfie pulls away from Gryba who can't catch his 40 year old behind before he roofs one on Anderson's glove hand.

Seriously though - my night will be ruined if Alfie puts up a point and I'll be hard pressed not to throw my remote through the TV if he scores a goal against us.

Lines for tonight:

9MM - Spezz - Conch
MacNoGoals - Turris - ComingInHot
Cyborg - Smith - ToughAsNeils
Z-Bad - Grant - Anacondra

Interesting that the two call ups are playing together, but I like seeing Smith back at C.

Blueline will have Corvo but no Wiercioch, so could well see Gryba-Phillips along with Methot-Karlsson and Cowen-Corvo. What the 1PP and 2PP will look like is anyone's guess.

To help me feel better

You know I noticed the "Spezza no-look-drop-pass zone" doesn't seem to be as prevalent this season yet.

I just got off a plane and walked into Real Sports if anyone's around tonight.
I'm famous for giving lots of notice in my life.
Fingers crossed tonight!

Greening and Gryba combine to get the Wings back in the game

October 23, 2013 at 8:11 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Just when things go well for us, the other team changes their goalie #Sens #typical

October 23, 2013 at 8:12 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Not the start I was expecting, but I'll take it. Greening's penalty was a weak, WEAK call but an expected one when the Wings are down 3-0.

I thought Ottawa was finished with the damn "monster"

October 23, 2013 at 8:13 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Jimmy Howard wasn't that great the other nite vs SJ, because SJ had about 2 real scoring chances the whole game-- it's amazing to me that Sens have 3 :-)

Yeah when I came home and turned on the TV I was not expecting to see the score i'm seeing now.

Phillips looks skinnier in the face. Might have lost a few lbs.
