Sens Underground Forums > the Leafs fall back to earth (YYYEEEEAAAHHH)

How do we not have a thread on this yet? Here's my tin foil moment

Shannahan is a former Red Wing
Red Wings are in the Other Guys division this year with the Leafs
Automatic calls - 10 games for Clarkson, of course.

Remember when Wolski elbowed Alfie and Shannahan said that he knows Wolski and he's not dirty? I think he'll take care of his friends...

and which is Canada's top team?

Ottawa, that's who !!

Across pro north american sports, the Sens rank 9th overall. Leafs 118th out of 122. Next Canadian team is Montreal ar 63.

In the NHL Sens are 3rd behind the Penguins and the Ducks. Leafs are dead last.

Here's my interpretation of Shanny's decisions today:

accidental injury = 3 pre-season games + 5 regular season games (Kassian)
deliberate and repeated attempt to injure = 3 pre-season games (Kessel)

Way to go Shanny. You've just shown, yet again, the league bias when it comes to "player safety". The fine for a non-existent infraction for the Buffalo coach is just another example, as Rolston didn't break a written rule.

PATHETIC, but sadly, expected.

Or, how I said it on Twitter:

Kessel suspension = joke. Congrats to @NHL and @NHLShanahan who prove yet again it's not the rules or what you do, it's who you play for.

Player (non)suspensions has been a moot topic for a while...

To the actual game, it seems there are quite a few new Chris Kelly's / Eric Condra's on this team! With all the breakaways Sens should be up by 2-3min. Corvo is the same old Joe.... (facepalm) I hope they actually play Boro or Gryba or even Sdao.

But to the positive, Lehner is looking sharp which is good news in case Andy is not feeling so dandy.

Harry Neale said in the first period that last year the Sens made it to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Joe Bowen did not correct him. I guess if they believe it it's true. Or they are just part of Retard Nation...

@PeskyJones
Didn't you know that in real, Canadian, hockey only the years the Maple Leafs of Toronto make the playoffs do count? Shame on you.
Before last year, the preceding 8 hockey seasons were just for show :-)
