Pan

Gillis and Torts will both be fired w/in 2 yrs and Nucks will be making a top 3-5 overall pick in 2 years

June 30, 2013 at 4:38 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Gillis should have been fired after the playoffs. He's destroying this team quickly. Twins are up next year - if Torts dumps on them, they'll go somewhere else.

hopefully Ottawa doesn't do anything stupid as the Canucks and Sharks have already did today

June 30, 2013 at 4:41 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

your right Pan, and that's not even taking into account his horrible drafting over the last few years.

June 30, 2013 at 4:42 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

slugs next, then Senators

June 30, 2013 at 4:43 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Hodgson for Kassian as an example of the only good draftee.

June 30, 2013 at 4:43 PM | Registered CommenterPost Draft Pan

LOL!!! Gillis hasn't even spoke w/Luongo

June 30, 2013 at 4:44 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

How could the Canucks have not gotten Hedberg back in the trade to help back up? Seriously...joke of a GM.

June 30, 2013 at 4:45 PM | Registered CommenterPost Draft Pan

Canucks sure could have used Hodgson after Kesler basically missed the whole season--Gillis is a train wreck

June 30, 2013 at 4:46 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

you know what would be really funny? if the Canucks signed Bryzgalov

June 30, 2013 at 4:46 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

OK Pan, who are the Sens taking? it's got to be a forward, right?

June 30, 2013 at 4:47 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Giant Slug, gonna hate playing against him.

June 30, 2013 at 4:47 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

No Clue - I don't know juniors much. I'm hearing Mantha. I want someone 6'0" or taller

June 30, 2013 at 4:48 PM | Registered CommenterPost Draft Pan

so that's why you wanted 6'7" Morin.

June 30, 2013 at 4:50 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Actually really like Mantha. 6'4" LW, 50 Goals, but is apparently a bit of a floater

Lazar 5'11", 193 lbs

June 30, 2013 at 4:52 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Lazar, I really like this pick

I'm kidding I don't know shat about him, except McKenzie just said 3rd line. Ottawa already has enough of that

June 30, 2013 at 4:55 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

well he broke some Stamkos and Crosby records so there's that

June 30, 2013 at 4:56 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

He's a C/RW so can help out the depth on the side. Was told that he's strong 2-way which could be compared to Fisher...but so can ZBad.

Cody Nickolet a WHL writer compares Lazar to Mike Fisher

June 30, 2013 at 5:00 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Craig Button's take on Lazar

"He is very good in traffic and he is a player who bears down in the scoring areas to get his opportunities. His skating is very good and he's a guy who can play at a high pace and tempo. He gets involved and will assert physically to win the puck and gain advantages. He is a good all-around player who finds a way to impact the game in many ways, even physically. Excellent hockey sense and he reads and anticipates the play very well which combined with his skill, makes him very hard to keep in check. Curtis may be the player who could take on multiple roles at the NHL level, either as a scoring winger or as a real solid two-way centre."
