The Sens average close to a sellout at 19,139 this year (19,500 = sellout). The building is always full but some of the 100s are ridiculously expensive.
Labru: Boston was all over Lehner's crease. The Bolts bumped into Lehner a few times in today's game. My line of thinking was, he must be getting itchy to drop them seeing Methot, Kassian and Neiler having some fun out there. Plus, the score seems to be out of reach. But he did say that he's not going to drop them every time he gets challenged anymore and that he's learned his lesson. My guess is he's referring to earlier this season in Bingo when the BSens had a 5-0 lead halfway through the game, and he beat the crap out of a Finnish goalie. The Sens lost in the shootout 6-5 because Lawson went in cold and 3-4 other BSens were in the box for fighting.
It sucks for Edmonton and Winnipeg that their arenas are so small 15-16K. The Jets are not even selling out every game at 99.9% :P
That's great. I have to keep remembering too our arena in WPG is really small compared to other markets, even other small markets. All they did in WPG to say 'sorry for the lockout' was give us half-priced beers for the opener. Then all was forgiven lol
AAAHHHH Turris... so close! The Turricane denied!
ESPN has a list of NHL attendance
Islanders are a pitiful 79% capacity, Phoenix 78.6%. Winnipeg averages 15,004, but that is 99.9% capacity. I'm sure they'd be able to get 18,000+ easily
IFLT 4-0 Leads
Alfie chant !!
whoever sent the "He's not Rick Nash" tweet, that's really funny because it's true.
Beautiful puck movement by the sens here.
not clearing pucks hurts
SD, does Winnipeg have standing room? Sens can get some 20,500 with the standing room around the top. I think they will also allow a few more in the luxury boxes, the dozen or so in the seats in front of the box, plus more in the box itself.
Frak, I really think Lehner deserved a shutout already.
what is it with backup Goalies when they play the Sens?!?! they make all these acrobatic unbelievable saves somehow
anyone else notice that Tampa scored shortly after tj arrived?
At least Desjardins didn't shut the Sens out.
Uh oh. Suddenly 6 minutes seem like a really long time
not clearing pucks--that time they had plenty of time to clear by WC
sends a glaring stare at tj !!
tj get outta here! :-p
Homer I was watching on the DVR, and just caught up--so it's not Me :-)
why don't the Sens seem to ever draw penalties
Homer, no- we have no standing room. The arena is kind of like a main floor and the nosebleeds are more a 200 section than a nosebleed one. As such, even sitting in the very last row of the top is still an excellent seat with an excellent view.
that was a f**king blatant trip on Greening, and no call--what are the officials watching
@TJ & Homer
I hope it's not me :-/
On the other hand, I likely won't make another live appearance this season.
