Gonchar has been looking great offensively this last 4-5 games. If we can get him a little cheaper for a year or 2 do we really want to get rid of him. We have a young defensive core and a guy like Gonchar would be great to have around for those guys.

I guess that depends on if we can land J Bo or not

the really amazing thing a out Gonch's strong play is that he's really being used way to much. but, he's hanging in there nicely.

too much bumbling with the puck in their own zone

HA!

March 17, 2013 at 6:19 PM | Registered CommenterResigned Russell

The talk is Calgary would eat salary in the j-Bo trade as per the rules of the new CBA. J-Bo is a premium offensive d-man who was used in a shut down role in Calgary. He would be the perfect #3 on this team. Our first 2 d lines would score more than most first offence lines in the league.

That's why Ottawa would want J-Bo

March 17, 2013 at 6:20 PM | Registered CommenterCuckelson

... I'll agree that J-Bo has been an offensive defenseman in Calgary ... no question.

March 17, 2013 at 6:22 PM | Registered CommenterPuddleduck

on that scramble in front of Ottawa's net I kept wondering why Lehner wouldn't just cover the puck, that was nerve wracking

March 17, 2013 at 6:22 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

J Bo is terribly over-rated ( or maybe not so much, anymore). with karlsson at #1, and weircioch showing his potential offense, there's no need for him.

March 17, 2013 at 6:22 PM | Registered CommenterResigned Russell

... Karlsson hasn't had any points in the last 10 games, though ... #tradethebum

March 17, 2013 at 6:24 PM | Registered CommenterPuddleduck

Regin do something with the puck

March 17, 2013 at 6:24 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

Lehner still has work to do on his puck handling.

Corey Perry is the guy I want, then they could go toe to toe with Boston and Detroit with that guy

March 17, 2013 at 6:27 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

watching that Sportsnet commercial, it would be more enthusiastic about it if Kypreos was getting electroshock therapy.
