Sens Underground Forums > Game 6: Caps @ Sens

Could be a tough one.

Spezza is out. Regin is taking his place on the top line Milan Michalek and Jakob Silfverberg. Hopefully it'll get him going.

Alfie is back in. I guess they want to keep the Turris line as is.

Z-Bad was called up, and looks like he might play K-Dog and Andre Benoit are healthy scratches.

Latendresse is back with Alfie and Turris. I think Alfie needs 2 fast guys to work with and find with his awesome passing.
Would rather see Condra or Zibanejad on the 2nd line with Alfie and Turris.

I guess Stache is giving Latendresse games to get his legs under him, but what he really needs is an off season to get up to speed.

Caps have looked just awful this year so far. I'm hoping this isn't the game where they 'magically pull it together'.

Wow, early game thread! What's the score so far???

Pete Regin is getting every chance in the world over the years with us. He owes Bryan Murray big time.

Andy never plays well in the heritage jersey. This has me nervous

I hope that StooLi doesn't jinx him and buy his jersey.

wow, interference call in our favor??

Latendresse on the PP? talk about giving a guy chances.

January 29, 2013 at 7:42 PM | Registered CommenterHomer

Latendresse got a good chance on the PP but put it on the wrong side of Alfie for the GG to take advantage of it. Not a bad PP though; a bit perimeter at first but got in close later on.

I still haven't figured out the offsetting minors....were they coincidental but not related? It beats being on on the PK.

Zibad is going to get lots of chances...we took him over others in that draft. He;ll get every chance for sure.

Smith got two for tripping and Backstrom got 2 for "concealing puck". that's something new they're calling this year. You can't cover the puck with your hand to prevent a player from getting at the puck. So no more players pulling the puck under them when they fall.

Backtsrom covered the puck with his had, looked around then tried to play it.

Penalties are offsetting as they're separate incidents that impacted the play. If 2 guys starts slashing at each other outside of the play, it's offsetting so would stay 5 on 5

I kind of like that, but don't think it's worth 2 minutes. Only other idea I have is blowing the whistle immediately and sending the faceoff in the defending zone, but that could slow things down even worse

It's going to be like shooting the puck over the glass

Thanks for the soundbite, Homer. Love it

Thanks all - what I meant was that I was guessing they were not related, given the difference in calls. Called at the same time but not related.

I'm liking Z-bad's game tonight.

I am not liking Willy Tender at all! sloppy and I'd rather give the chance to a younger guy.

I have a feeling we're gonna hear that soundbite in an episode soon.
