Hellava play by Spezza

All Spezza needed was an empty net to score a goal, but hey i'll take it.

... apparently, someone just gave the NHL Gamecentre server a quick boot ... back up and running now.

Aw yeah!

I hope that bumps his confidence a bit. That line needs to get going.

The easy thing to pick on is the 1st line. It's too easy for me to pick on. I'm going to give them two more games. (Last 2 times I said that Spezza went on 9-11 game poiint streaks right after I posted it here.)
Pesky Jones
3 games, 2 GAA, not bad for a rusty goalie.

Love Silfverberg's speed, size, and multifaceted game.
Saw flashes from last season's defensively responsible Turris.
They are the future.
Pesky Jones
that was not pretty but it's a win.

Is it over?

It's over for the Leafs , but we're just getting started...

3 wins in a row and the big guns are not even firing yet (Alfie, Spezza, Michalek)... I'll take it. Kudos to the young guys and Dandy Andy.
On Latendresse: give the guy time ffs. 30 games in 2 years, no pre-season or proper training camp, completely new teamates, etc. It takes time to get your legs, timing and confidence after long injury struggles. Stache will find a way to get something out of him, OR he'll sit and bring up Hoffman/Grant/Da Costa/Zibanejad/Stone.
I am a little worried about Alfie... He doesn't look like he's got much leg strength. Hands and hockey sense is all there but legs not so much. I bet Turris is learning a lot from the him though. Stache could possible shuffle the top 2 lines' wingers: Spezza between Alfie and Latendresse; Turris between Silfverberg and Milo.

Hey Dawg,
I'm not sure Aflie's lack of points is any different than Spezza's, Michalek's, and Latendresse's. You make some interesting points, but I'm not sure it's anything to worry about until we get another few games under our belt. In 3 games Anderson could suck and Alfie, Spezza, and Michalek could be saving the team.
I agree with most of your points above otherwise though.
Pesky Jones
Jonesy,
Your unusual positivity is throwing me off... but I'll play along :P
I guess I'm just worried about Alfie's health. His movement on the ice looks to be a bit like when he was playing through injuries under Clouston. I hope I am wrong and he's not playing injured. If he is, Stache better sit him and rest him.

Alfie has always been a slow starter and didn't play during the lockout. It will take him a while to get up to speed. He'll be there when it counts.
Senior the not so physic

EN for Spezza. he'll take it
