So as I said I would, I put together a little photo diary of my day yesterday from when I woke up to after seeing the game.
**Warning, some nerdy photos coming up**
The day started off as normal as any for a Senator fan off to an afternoon game... with a healthy breakfast.
Then it's on with the jersey.
Oh right... gotta get there first!
Perfect driving conditions in Winnipeg... as always....
About one hour before game time... people are starting to trickle into the stands. (Apparently the arena had all food and beer 50% off)
Warm up skate time... noise is already getting loud in here, stands are getting pretty full.
Just gonna... take some pics of our boys here...
Game is starting... you can see how I'm in the second highest row in the arena... Any empty seats are because people are off getting more beer. (They will do that at least 5 more times in the period in our row it seems)
Michalek with the first goal!
That was a good game. Time to enjoy a victory dinner.
Nice to see some first person experience at the game!
Thanks for sharing!
And naturally, thanks for representing the Sens :)
The jersey gave it away, but for the record, I could also tell you weren't a Leaf fan because you ate your waffles instead of brining them to the game with you ;)
Nice job repping the Sens!! The CBC cameras didn't quite pan to the second last row, but they did show some guy in a CHARA Sens jersey turning and facing the Jets masses with arms wide open, saying "What?! What?!"
Ha ha ha ha... it is kind of gutsy to waltz in wearing the other team's colours, but people in WPG are pretty respectful (especially of other Canadian teams minus the Leafs) I got playfully booed a lot, nothing I couldn't handle. It would've been rough walking out of there if we had lost though, I call it the walk of Victory/Shame.
