...halfway through the 2nd period... 3-1 for the good guys
- 2 goals from Da Costa (returning to action nicely)
- nice goal high glove by the Silver one, taking over team scoring lead with 12
- Bishop in net, Lawson backing... not sure why Lehner is out
- Zibanejad out second game in a row
- Sens give up a shortie second game in a row, but keep up with the trend of scoring first in the game

Koharski is reffing, so naturally fans are chanting LOUD and CLEAR: REFS YOU SUCK!!!

Oh yeah, Mark Stone denied a goal by the refs that went in and out under the cross bar. Replay wasn't conclusive (apparently) so call on the ice stands. Common SENSe: if a puck is behind the goalie and goes in and out, and you don't hear a ping...aaah forget it
Wish they used the old school, soft nets, so the net would actually capture the puck, not bounce it out.

1 on 3 Gauthier scores to make it a one goal game

Bishop lets in some weird goals. Makes incredible saves and blocks a lot of shots due to his size, but man does he let some in out of no where.

Oh yeah... Borocop with another fighting major in the 1st.

PING! Sens have hit 3 posts tonight so far. Latest by Eckford. Earlier ones by Silfverberg and Da Costa.

GOAL!!! WIERCIOCH! 4-2 BSENS with only 8:30 left

Koharski is of course waving it off, but it looks like it will count. A Crunch player has lost his mind and is going after Shane Prince.

Of course Prince gets a penalty. That's not gonna spoil the fans' mood as they all get biscuits because the BSENS have scored.

5-2 Sens

7:30 to go and Crunchies have pulled their goaltender..........WTF?!
It's only a 5-4

Borocop dropping the gloves AGAIN! This kid is taking on all comers. Nielsen is the recepient this time of some Borocop punishment but as he is escorted away he challenges the entire BSens bench... wow

Setting up the next game in what is turning out to be a nice little rivalry :)

Where's the Angry Swedish goalie? Where's the Lehner where you need him?

8th straight win in the books!!!

Interesting note, similar to the NHL Sens, the BSens get no respect from the AHL - they are never in any of the news feeds on the main page. It's always Pens, Marlies, Bulldogs, (insert any other team), etc.

I like it that way. To quote the Lehner, I have a little message for the AHL "... ;-)"

BSens Dawg thanks for all these updates---was SMH at all the posts hit by the BSens. Some things never change for Senators.

December 2, 2012 at 9:16 PM | Registered Commentertjlincoln

You are spot on, TJ.
Another thing that also doesn't change is the ignorance by the league.

Not one word about the BSens' streak or the 4pt night by Da Costa, etc. But they sure are eager to post about Schenn and Khadri's development on a game-by-game basis.

On a positive note, good to see Mcilhinney and Brust (2 former Sens goalies) tearing it up. Good on them. Klinkhammer is also doing alright.

Thanks for the game thread Dawg, and sorry I couldn't be a part of it.

Bingo is putting together a great run, and the less press they get, the better -- it'll be a bigger shock to other teams when they think it's a nothing team and then get beaten by them. The effect on the opposing fans will be even better.
