Does not seem silly to me. He was Captain of the Kitchener Rangers and essentially lived on his own since the age of 16. He could be extremely mature for his age....Besides age is just a number right? Crosby was a measly 11 days older than Landeskog is now when he was named Captain.
I just hope that the Captaincy does not get to his head like it did for Mike Richards in Philadelphia.
