I wonder if the refs got a talking to from the league to do a better job in keeping control of these games.
On Carks' suspension, Shanahan mentioned that it was in retaliation to an incident in the previous game.
When Carks had his phone call with Shanahan and that was brought up. Maybe he did, but if I were Carks I would have asked why was Boyle only given two minutes for punching an unwilling combatant multiple times in the head and this same unwilling combatant got two minutes for being used as a punching bag. "Explain that to me Mr. Shanahan, please explain that to me. If the refs had done their jobs properly then maybe I don't beat the crap out of Boyle" Some think that Carks got off easy, which could be argued. I think the fact the the ref totally dropped the ball the previous game had a factor on the suspension being 1 game instead of 3 or more.
