It's Christmas morning today if you are a Sens fan!
The team has been to the playoffs a lot in its 20 years, but this year it feels exta speacial... a dawning of a new era, if you will.
I can't remember a Sens team that has looked more like a family than this group of guys. These guys truly enjoy playing together, battling and not quitting on one another, and there was plenty opportunities for them to faulter. Everyone expected them to do just that. Nuh-uh! Middle finger, FTW.
The boys went through the ups and downs like a family lead by poppa Stache. :))
I can't wait until tonight's game!!"Family 2012"Now, I want to see
One of the Florida sports programs just did a preview of the first round of the playoffs. Apparently Sens will probably be eliminated from playoffs some time during the second period of the first game.
No surprise there. Rangers are favourites. It has to be annoying to Rangers fans when "experts" (i.e. J.R.) pick the Sens to upset. Reminds me of the days when Ottawa would finish top 4 and always be picked to lose/choke/fail.
Btw, Gilroy in, Carks/Klink/Buts/Konopka out.
So my buddy at work came by, and asked me to get in on the playoff pool. As I was filling in the winning teams, the Sens just kept coming out on top. So, I've picked the Sens over the Canucks in the final this year. Am I nuts? Yes, but I voted with my heart. It was much easier last year when I only had to choose with my head...
Game 1 of hopefully what will be a good series for us to get a good level of hate for all things Rangers.
........and a series win. Hate is good, but series win is great.
Watch for Brandon Dubinsky, as he's a pest-like player who can also do some scoring work. If he gets pesky, I hope Neil/Carks/Smith pull a Luke Richardson on him:
Lucky Luke teaches Dubinsky a lesson he won't remember
Callahan will be an issue. he'll be all over EK65. Neil will have to deal with him.
have to be hard on gaborik. he's a glass man like salo and havlat.
i do believe the rangers will take the first one though. have a feeling the sens will be a little awestruck in game one. once they get that out of the way, they should be ok.
Andy has to be huge tonight. well, every night.
So family screwed me over for tonight. Sister's birthday dinner was moved from Tuesday to tonight. Of course it is running late and they don't get the NHL network. Watching the game on tape delay when I get home.
But have no fear, the jersey is on and gin and tonics are being drank.
I'll only be able to watch the first period and then I have to go to work. I wish I were unemployed.
that is a 1st class rug on the anthem singer!
No Peel or O'Dork.
weather the storm, boys!
you talking about the groundhogs listening to the windbags on CBC?
didn't realize it was a diving show tonight in NY.
that was a dangerous rebound off Andy's blocker
i heard that this is the 1st play-off game that Kuba has played for the Sens. he was hurt last time they made post season.
oh yeah, evening sam.
Let's hope Ottawa worked on something new for their PP this past week.
that wasn't very good.
well, lets hope that was the bad goal and its out of the way now.
ok, healy is up and running. start drinking boys.
I'm starting to build up a good hate for the Rangers
Karlsson gets 2 for getting beaten on?
so Karlsson for 2 for getting punched about 8-9 times.
