I was at the game last night, and here are my thoughts.
1st - It was a goal - Even Alfie said so...
2nd - The referreeing was absolutely brutal. After Neil's second penalty I was creaming my guts out whenever a Sens got near a cane to "Stay away. Don't hit him whatever you do! The ref thinks this is womens hockey"
3rd - Neil was the best player last night at one point, they showed him on the big screen sitting on the bench and everyone cheered very loudly. I felt bad for him because he was getting screwed all night long. No lube for you!
4th - The Alfie chant was a bit dodgy in the first period, but got better by the 3rd. It'll get better every night.
For the only game that I've been to this year it was a bit of a disappointment. They did not play their best, but the reffing was really bad.
