A strange game in the OHL this afternoon....
The Niagara IceDogs won a strange one Sunday afternoon, picking up a 13-4 victory over the visiting Erie Otters at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.
The game got off to an odd start as Erie starter Ramis Sadikov was without a backup after Devin Williams was injured a game earlier in the weekend.
When Sadikov was injured in a collision with Alex Friesen less than two minutes in, centre Connor Crisp would be called upon to play in his first game of the season as an emergency goaltender.
Crisp would make 32 saves in the loss, picking up the games first star and a standing ovation from the IceDogs faithful for his gutsy performance.
