Sens Underground Forums > Finally, a little goalie sanity

Antti Niemi gets a one year deal for 2 million from the sharks. A very good price for a cup winner and only a one year commitment until he proves he's not a one hit wonder. how many times have we seen a goalie get a huge contract based on one good season? this is a great deal for the sharks and nice to see Niemi agree to it and not demand the sky befores he's earned it.

nice to see some sanity remains in this league.

It's only because the merry go around for Goalies had stopped-- he had to jump on somewhere it might as well be the Sharks
who were depending on Nittymaki for God's sake. They needed to sign this guy since they have a ready made playoff team
for Niemi to join.

Speaking of Niemi, I'm in a predicament in my fantasy keeper league right now and would like some advice if anyone would be so kind?...
I have to keep one goalie from my squad last year...

I can choose from either Anti Niemi, Craig Anderson or Jonathan Quick. Him signing with the Sharks just made my decision that much harder... for whatever reason I just feel he's a flash in the pan (Niemi)? Anyone else feel the same way?

It's a 3 player-keeper league, so my other 2 players are Henrik Sedin and either Gaborik or Marleau (another tough decision!!)

cheers.

For what my opinion is worth, You have tough tough decisions. Niemi and Quick play for better teams than Anderson's but
Anderson will play all the time and is damn good.
You gotta keep Henrik--Gaborik is made of glass and Marleau is very durable but can be inconsistent even after scoring 44
goals last year.

you know the sharks are going to win a ton of games. it's a pretty safe bet to go with niemi.
