Leclaire didn't win, so he doesn't deserve to start. He looked horrible in the shootout. He deserves another shot but Elliot is in better shape right now. Clouston's record with the team is just below .600 so I'll trust his judgement on that one...
Alfie says he feels he's 100% again so thank God for that!! Time for the Sens to hit their stride again.

I disagree... Leclaire should be the one starting tonight.
If Elliot was that sick just a couple of days ago, why not give him a bit longer of a rest and have him start Thursday against the Flames??
Ottawa really knows how to destroy their goalies.

I guess this make a clear statement as to who is the no.1 guy now.

... am I the only one that is starting to see what I call Clouston's Binghamton bias??? If it comes down to an existing Senator or one of his alumnae from the farm team, it's farm team all the way ... it's been that way with call-ups, line combos, you name it ...
Coach's choice, but I don't like the fact that he's throwing LeClaire under a bus ... we finally get a number one goalie in the pool and we're not going to use him now??? Unless there's something about LeClaire's work ethic or skills that has Corey suspicious, we should be using him ... he's the goalie we're spending the most money on ...
... oh, and Emery ... ;0)
Duck Season!!!
the loss to the laffs had nothing to do with leclaire. if it wasn't for him, they wouldn't even have got to OT for the point.
he should be starting tonight. period. he earned it. if he has a bad game, then you could run with elliot the rest of the way. no questions asked.
i really am starting to wonder if there is some issue between those two.

Did Leclaire steal a game against he Laffs?
How did he look against Carolina after having a nice long rest and lots of practice?
There's nothing to defend Leclaire on. He played solid and helped the team earn a point, but did not steal 2.
I believe Clouston wants a hot goalie in nets and Leclaire is anything but earned that status.
Maybe the guys are more confident in front of Elliot? We can't know for sure but the team has had more success with Elliot in nets, so he's in tonight.
I don't understand why it's such a big issue. After all, Clouston said both goalies will get a chance to play on the road trip... unless of course Elliot is shutting the door back to back to back...
WHAT GOALIE CONTROVERSY?!?
Tank Dawg
Elliot played solid during the winning streak, making the saves he should. Maybe elliot was a little hot during the winning streak but nothing amazing. He did what brodeur did... came in played the angles and made the saves he was supposed to. He has been colder as of late, letting in the odd questionable goal. Honestly I thought leclaire looked pretty good in Carolina he wasnt helped by the defense having a complete brain fart, he didnt make the spectacular save but he didnt deserve to be pulled and i dont think elliot would have done much better on those two. But when he comes in and plays a great 60 minutes and has a couple of spectacular saves when the team was losing their legs around him i think he deserves another night in net. We need elliot and leclaire to be going come playoff time and throwing him back in after a solid game seems logical.

The Sens have bigger problems than who's going to play goal.
The offense has been abysmal as of late. And the transition game has been horrid.
Can't blame the goalies for having an off night here and there - Brodeur has them (more and more often), Miller has them, Fleury has them.
The team in front of the goalie needs to be better.
Let's see what happens tonight...

i'm just worried that clouston is disrespecting leclaire and risks losing him completely. nothing against Elliot but leclaire played fantastic last game, except for the shoot out, so he should get a chance to run with it. elliot did.
game on!

During the interview with Clouston on the pre-game show on the Team, the coach said that he had talked with both goalies about which games they would start over the next while. Apparently the flu bug is gone and the team had some real jump during practice this morning -- let's hope so, as they can really use some after Saturday's game as well as the other two losses since the Olympic break.

someone please make that proline commercial go away....

Back during the winning streak, on the power play, the Sens had a lot more cycling going on. They seem to be back to standing in their area waiting for a pass. They need more movement.

senior, what the hell are you still doing up?

Karlsson just owned that 3 on 1.

Elliots in net tonight...... I hope that leclaire has the flu. After the performance leclaire had against toronto the guy deserves another start.
