So, we've been doing this show for what, just about 7 seasons now right? If you've been listening for any length of time, you know being politically correct has never been a concern for us. And hey, if you never push the line, you'll never know how far is too far, right? Well, we think we've finally found out this week. Let's just leave it at that and say, you've been warned.
Now then, hockey. Only two games to cover this show:
Preds 3 - Sens 4
Oilers 4 - Sens 3 OT
You'd really think those results should be reversed but that's how it played out. But maybe it was for the best as the win came on such a story-book night. To say Chris "Big Rig" Phillips celebrated his 1,000th game in style would be an enormous understatement. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!?? Two goals, including the game winner??? I don't care how much you love the guy, nobody could have called that one. It was just a great night for a great guy who's been such a true soldier for this team his whole career. And, what else could have stolen the spotlight from Mike Fisher's return? We look back on this night fondly, as we probably will for years to come.
Some other Sens topics include the continuing breakdowns in their own zone and how they're becoming more magnified as we move deeper into the season and what Mr. Murray may, or may not, do as the trade deadline approaches. We also take a look at how the usher situation at SBP has improved since last year, discuss our owner's comments about drunken idiot screaming tree fans in our rink and get into a passionate discussion over changes at our local sports radio station.
Possibly the final poll question, a couple of excellent voice mails and we're all set for the big finish.
Whatever you think of us after this, just remember, weeeeeeee will always looooooove yoooooouuuuuuu.
